Opportunity Overview

The National University of Singapore (NUS) offers undergraduate scholarships to new international students, chiefly the NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship, open to citizens of all countries except Singapore, alongside the ASEAN Undergraduate Scholarship and the Science & Technology Undergraduate Scholarship for specific countries. The NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship covers 100% of subsidised tuition after the MOE Tuition Grant, plus S$5,800 a year for living costs, S$5,000 a year for accommodation and a one-time S$1,750 computer allowance. There is no separate scholarship application: all undergraduate applicants are considered, and shortlisted candidates are interviewed between January and July. AY2027/28 dates for international qualifications are not published yet; last cycle the window ran from 3 December 2025 to 23 February 2026.

Eligibility & Acceptance Criteria

5 Criteria
NUS International Undergraduate Scholarship: citizens of all countries except Singapore. The ASEAN and Science & Technology scholarships are limited to specific countries (see the NUS page).
Outstanding high-school results, strong leadership potential and an outstanding co-curricular record; apply for full-time undergraduate study at NUS (transfer applicants are not eligible).
No separate scholarship application: you are considered when you apply for undergraduate admission; shortlisted applicants are emailed and interviewed between January and July, with results by mid-July.
Recipients must take up the MOE Tuition Grant, which requires 3 years of work for a Singapore-registered company after graduation (longer service for Medicine and Dentistry).
AY2027/28 dates for international qualifications are not announced yet; last cycle the admission window ran from 3 December 2025 to 23 February 2026.
