Opportunity Overview
Konrad Adenauer scholarship in Germany: €992 a month for bachelor's and master's, €1,500 for PhD, for non-EU students with German at B2 level. The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) International Young Talent Support programme funds international students, mainly from outside the EU, at state or state-recognised German universities: bachelor's students from their second semester, master's students and doctoral candidates in all subjects except human and dental medicine taken as a state examination. Bachelor's and master's scholars receive €992 a month, usually for two years, and doctoral candidates €1,500 a month for three years under the KAS guidelines in force since January 2026. Scholars also receive up to €120 a month towards health insurance, family allowances of €276 for a spouse and €250 per child, support for German courses and, in exceptional cases, tuition fees of up to €750 per semester, and they join the foundation's seminar programme. Funding must cover at least four semesters. Applicants should have spent no more than 15 months in Germany when they apply (with some exceptions), reach German at level B2 by the start of their studies, have good to very good grades and, for master's and PhD applicants, hold a first degree no more than five years old, alongside clear political or social engagement. Applications are submitted online through the KAS Campus portal; the in-Germany selection closes every year on 15 July at 12:00 noon, and applicants abroad can apply through KAS offices abroad that hold a selection round that year.

ChinaChinese Government Scholarship (CSC) 2027–2028
A fully funded scholarship from the Chinese government, administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), for bachelor's, master's and PhD study at Chinese universities. It covers tuition, campus accommodation, a monthly stipend and comprehensive medical insurance. There are two routes: the bilateral route (Type A) through the Chinese embassy or the designated agency in your country (often the Ministry of Higher Education), or directly through designated Chinese universities (Type B). Bachelor's applicants now need a CSCA test score. The portal usually opens in November–December 2026; deadlines are set by each embassy or university and typically fall between late November 2026 and April 2027 (bilateral or embassy routes are often earliest). Bachelor's applicants must sit the CSCA test (December or January sessions) before applying. International airfare is not covered.
