Université de Sherbrooke Research Tuition Exemption 2027

Verified against the official source on
ForsaEduforsaedu.com

Opportunity Overview

Université de Sherbrooke exempts full-time international research doctoral students from supplementary fees, so they pay Québec rates. Since winter 2021, everyone enrolled in a research doctorate at Université de Sherbrooke receives an exemption from supplementary tuition fees for every term of full-time enrolment, worth the flat surcharge normally charged to international students, so the student pays the same tuition as Québec students. At master's level the exemption depends on the faculty and programme: for example, health sciences offers it for research master's, law and management offer some exemptions, arts and humanities offers it for the full-time geomatics course-based track, and engineering may offer a few in the third term, while education offers none. The exemption is applied as a billing adjustment, and an application must be made every term by 15 September for fall, 15 January for winter and 15 May for summer. Thesis-writing terms, preparatory terms, courses outside the programme and part-time master's study are not covered. Nationals of the roughly forty countries with a Québec government agreement must first apply to their home country's exemption programme, and the two exemptions cannot be combined for the same term.

Bachelor's applicants now need a CSCA test score.
