Opportunity Overview
HEC Paris gives international master's students an automatic merit award of up to €15,000 and need-based aid of up to 35% of tuition. The scholarships cover the Master in Management (MiM) and HEC Paris specialised master's programmes and come in two kinds. Merit scholarships are led by the HEC Foundation Excellence Scholarship, worth up to €15,000, for every candidate with a non-French bachelor's or master's degree; all admitted students are considered automatically, with no application or extra documents, based on academic excellence, overall application, interview and GMAT, GRE or TAGE-MAGE results. Need-based scholarships are led by the Equal Opportunity Scholarship, worth up to 35% of tuition, which is open to non-French nationals only, excludes dual French nationals and candidates already studying in France, and is requested through the Applicant Space after the master's application is submitted. Targeted awards include the Chalhoub Group Scholarship of up to €15,000 for nationals of listed Middle Eastern and North African countries such as Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Lebanon, the Future Leaders of Africa scholarship for citizens of South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Uganda, the CMA CGM fund and the Garzouzi Foundation scholarship for Lebanese students, and the Imagine Fellowship for students from countries affected by war. MiM tuition for the 2027 intake is about €58,970 for two years, plus a €2,500 surcharge for students from outside the EU. Need-based scholarship deadlines for the 2027 intake are 26 October 2026, 21 December 2026, 16 March 2027 and 18 May 2027 at noon, with results within a week of admission results. Important: these awards are tuition reductions or partial scholarships, not full funding; they do not cover full tuition or living costs and suit high-achieving admits to the MiM and specialised master's.

ChinaChinese Government Scholarship (CSC) 2027–2028
A fully funded scholarship from the Chinese government, administered by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), for bachelor's, master's and PhD study at Chinese universities. It covers tuition, campus accommodation, a monthly stipend and comprehensive medical insurance. There are two routes: the bilateral route (Type A) through the Chinese embassy or the designated agency in your country (often the Ministry of Higher Education), or directly through designated Chinese universities (Type B). Bachelor's applicants now need a CSCA test score. The portal usually opens in November–December 2026; deadlines are set by each embassy or university and typically fall between late November 2026 and April 2027 (bilateral or embassy routes are often earliest). Bachelor's applicants must sit the CSCA test (December or January sessions) before applying. International airfare is not covered.

Eligible fields include natural and technical sciences, medicine and health sciences, agricultural sciences, social sciences, humanities and arts. The grant lasts one to nine months and pays EUR 1,300 a month, with a tuition fee waiver at the host university, and some grantees may receive a travel subsidy. OeAD helps arrange accommodation and health insurance, but grantees pay for both out of the grant.
