Opportunity Overview
Danish Government Scholarships for master's study at the University of Copenhagen (QS 101); at the Faculty of Science they cover tuition and living costs for 22 months. Apply by 15 January 2027. Each year the university receives a limited number of these scholarships for excellent fee-paying applicants from outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland, and there is no separate application: every eligible applicant is considered automatically with the admission application. At the Faculty of Science, only applicants with a bachelor's GPA above 90% who are admitted to their first-priority programme are considered, and the lowest GPA among 2025 recipients was about 98%; the faculty also awards a second-year scholarship (tuition and living costs) to fee-paying students who excel in their first year (GPA of 11 or higher on the Danish scale in 2025), with at most three per nationality. At the Faculty of Humanities all non-EU applicants are considered automatically, the Faculty of Social Sciences has only 2–3 scholarships a year and Theology even fewer. The portal opens on 15 November 2026 and closes on 15 January 2027 at 23:59 CET, with a reply by 13 March. The living-cost grant may be taxed in Denmark, though some nationalities are exempt.
