Opportunity Overview

A full or partial tuition waiver for a master's at Aarhus University (QS 131), with a monthly living grant at the Faculty of Arts and Aarhus BSS; apply by 15 January 2027. AU has no scholarship funds of its own and relies entirely on Danish state funding, awarding a limited number (typically one or two per master's programme) to the best fee-paying applicants from outside Europe. There is no separate application and no extra documents: everyone who applies for a master's by 15 January 2027 (or 15 September for the winter intake) is considered automatically. The type depends on the faculty: Arts and Aarhus BSS give a tuition waiver plus a monthly living grant, while Natural Sciences and Technical Sciences give a full tuition waiver only. Offers arrive with the admission letter in late March with a very short acceptance deadline, and waivers can still be awarded until the 1 April acceptance deadline. The scholarship is tied to the programme and cannot be transferred, and waiver-only recipients must still prove sufficient funds for the residence permit.
