Opportunity Overview

A full master's tuition waiver plus a monthly stipend of DKK 11,225 (about €1,503) for four semesters at Aalborg University (QS 306); apply by 15 January 2027. Each September AAU awards only about 15 scholarships, funded by the Danish Government, to selected applicants from outside the EU/EEA based on academic qualifications and strategic considerations. You cannot apply separately: every non-EU master's applicant is considered automatically. The stipend is paid for four semesters only (the standard duration) and is not extended if your studies take longer; it may be taxable and may not cover all living costs. AAU informs all applicants of the scholarship decision by early July at the latest, and if you have already paid tuition and then receive a scholarship, the fee is refunded. The deadline for fee-paying applicants is 15 January 2027 at 23:59 CET, the portal opens in mid-December 2026 and you can apply for at most 3 programmes. Do not rely on the scholarship alone, as very few are available.
