Opportunity Overview

Poland My First Choice is a programme of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) for international students starting a full-time master's degree at a Polish university that has an agreement with NAWA. Scholars receive a monthly stipend of PLN 2,000, free tuition at public universities and a one-off travel allowance. It is open only to citizens of a fixed list of countries (mostly EU/EEA countries, the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea and others); no Arab or African country is on the list. You apply to NAWA online and separately to the university for admission. The 2026 call closed on 29 May 2026; the 2027 call has not been announced.

Citizens of: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, UK, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, USA or Uruguay.
Start a full-time master's at a Polish university with a NAWA framework agreement; hold a recent bachelor's degree.
Language level B2 in the language of instruction (Polish or English).
