The University of Milan (La Statale) awards Excellence Scholarships to international students with a foreign degree starting the first year of a master's programme (including the International Medical School). In the 2025/26 call there were 160 awards: 60 worth €8,000 plus a full tuition waiver and 100 tuition waivers. There is no separate application: candidates are assessed through their master's admission application on academic record and CV, and the award can be renewed for the second year with good progress. The 2027/28 call has not been published yet; in past years the admission deadline to be considered was 31 May.

The University of Newcastle (Australia) awards the International Excellence Scholarship automatically to international full-fee-paying students admitted to an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate coursework programme in 2027. It covers 20% of tuition fees each year for the whole programme, and about 500 scholarships are offered. Applicants must meet the published entry requirements and study on campus in Australia (standalone graduate certificates/diplomas, research degrees, online or offshore study and quota-limited programmes are excluded). The amount is stated in the offer letter; no separate application is needed.
