Opportunity Overview
The University of Helsinki Scholarship Programme grants tuition fee waivers of 50% or 100% to fee-paying students from outside the EU/EEA admitted to its international master's programmes (fees are €13,000–€18,000 a year). Most awards are 50%, and the waiver covers two years if you complete 55 ECTS in the first year. Each programme selects recipients based on academic record, motivation and the reasons given for the scholarship. You request the scholarship on the admission application form; applications for autumn 2027 run from 5 to 19 January 2027.

It covers 20% of tuition fees each year for the whole programme, and about 500 scholarships are offered.
