Opportunity Overview

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU, 54th in the QS World University Rankings 2026) gives an entry scholarship to non-local school leavers with excellent results in international or national qualifications other than the Hong Kong DSE. Eligible students are considered automatically with no application. It covers full tuition (HK$240,000 a year for non-local students) plus an annual allowance of up to HK$60,000, usually renewable for the normal length of the programme if renewal conditions are met, and adds a one-off HK$30,000 exchange scholarship. The page is labelled 2026–27, and the scheme is expected to continue for 2027 entry (check when applying). Apply for a bachelor’s programme through PolyU’s portal; several programmes starting in September 2027 list a 17 November 2026 deadline, followed by main and extended rounds.
