Opportunity Overview
Every year since 2017, Sultan Qaboos University in Muscat has reserved full scholarships for holders of a Palestinian passport: two master's and two PhD places in all colleges and fields; admission dates for 2027–28 have not been announced yet. The scholarship covers tuition, a monthly allowance of OMR 250 for master's and OMR 350 for PhD students, an annual return ticket for students coming from abroad, and 36 working days of paid leave. There is no separate scholarship application: you first apply for a postgraduate programme through the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, and once you hold unconditional admission the Palestinian Embassy in Muscat nominates you. You must study full time, master's candidates need a bachelor's CGPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, and scholars do up to 10 hours a week of academic or administrative work at the university. The scholarship does not cover the application fee or bridging courses, and the contract is signed in the fourth week of study.
