THAMM Plus: Dual Vocational Training in Germany for Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia

About the program

A German government project run by GIZ with the Federal Employment Agency that recruits young people from Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia into dual vocational training (Ausbildung) in Germany in the electrical trade, automotive mechatronics and construction. Apprentices work for a German company and attend vocational school, with a monthly training allowance of at least the legal minimum (€764 in year 1 and €1,070 in year 4 for training starting in 2027) plus health and social insurance. Intakes are announced through the official employment agencies: ANAPEC in Morocco, ANETI in Tunisia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt. There are no fixed dates; the project currently runs until 31 August 2027.
