Stanford University in California offers need-based financial aid to international undergraduates, meeting the demonstrated need of those admitted, alongside funded graduate programs and special programs such as Knight-Hennessy Scholars. Admission of international undergraduates is need-aware, so financial aid must be requested together with the admission application. Program details are available on the university's official scholarship and aid pages.
United StatesFulbright Program
The Fulbright Foreign Student Program is the U.S. government's flagship academic exchange, enabling graduate students and young professionals to pursue a master's, PhD or research in the United States. It generally covers tuition, airfare, a living stipend and health insurance. The program is run in each country by the local Fulbright Commission or U.S. Embassy, so eligibility and deadlines vary by country.
United StatesHarvard University
Harvard University is one of the world's most prestigious universities. For undergraduates it offers need-based financial aid that applies to international students on the same terms, meeting full demonstrated need without loans. Graduate funding is handled by each school, and PhD programs are generally fully funded. There is no separate merit scholarship: financial need is assessed alongside or after admission.
