About the scholarship program
The ASEAN Scholarship is funded by Singapore's Ministry of Education for outstanding students from ASEAN member countries, allowing them to study at selected secondary schools and pre-university colleges in Singapore. The entry level depends on the country, starting at Secondary 1, Secondary 3 or Pre-University 1, and continues to the GCE A-Level or an equivalent qualification. Benefits usually include school fees, hostel accommodation, an annual allowance, a return economy airfare, national examination fees, subsidised medical benefits and accident insurance, and the award is renewed each year based on school performance. Selection involves an online application followed by tests and interviews in the applicant's country. The scholarship does not cover university study.
