Opportunity Overview
The Alliance of International Science Organizations (ANSO) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) offer about 100–200 master's and around 300 PhD scholarships a year for international students at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) or the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in science and engineering. The award waives tuition and provides a monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for master's; CNY 6,000–7,000 for PhD), health insurance, one international trip to China and a visa allowance. The 2026 call ran from 15 October 2025 to 31 January 2026; the 2027 call is expected to follow the same timeline.
