Opportunity Overview
The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers fully funded scholarships to foreign students for bachelor's, master's and PhD study at Indian universities, as well as diploma courses in languages and performing arts and AYUSH (traditional medicine) programmes. Schemes include the India-Africa Maitri Scholarship Scheme for African countries and other country-based schemes. Places are allocated to each country, and you apply online on the A2A portal, then through the Indian embassy or high commission in your country. The 2026–27 round ran from 27 February to 22 April 2026; the 2027–28 round is expected to open around February 2027.
