Opportunity Overview

The Huawei ICT Competition is an annual contest for university students in three tracks: Cloud (cloud and AI), Network (datacom, security, WLAN) and Computing (openEuler, openGauss, Kunpeng). Students sit an individual national preliminary and final, the best form teams of up to three from the same university for the regional final (Middle East and Central Asia: March 2027), and the winners go to the global final in China (May–June 2027, to be confirmed). Registration is through Huawei ICT Academies at universities and deadlines differ by country (in Iraq, 31 October 2026, with the preliminary on 18–19 November 2026).
