Opportunity Overview

The Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education offers scholarships to international students for bachelor's, master's and PhD study at Egyptian public universities, plus Arabic language study. Places are allocated as a quota to each country and announced through that country's government or ministry of education; you then apply on the Study in Egypt admission platform. The scholarship covers tuition and registration fees; living costs, travel and health insurance are usually not included. Al-Azhar University also offers separate scholarships through the same platform. The 2026–2027 platform deadline was 15 September 2026; the 2027–2028 call usually opens around June–July.
