World Health Organization (WHO) Internship Programme – with Living Allowance

About the program

The WHO internship programme offers placements at headquarters in Geneva or in regional and country offices to people aged 20 or over with a passport from a WHO Member State, who are enrolled in a degree or graduated within the last 18 months after completing three years of full-time study. WHO pays a living allowance to eligible interns who need financial support, with the amount stated in each vacancy notice, plus medical and accident insurance; travel is not covered. Applicants need fluency in a working language of the office, must have no relatives on WHO staff and must not have interned with WHO before. There is no fixed deadline: openings are posted throughout the year, each with its own deadline, and applications go only through WHO's recruitment system (Stellis).
